### Abstract A one-person monologue and a reenactment of an open-letter written to my “critical self” from logical self. Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, binary thinking and the self-fulfilling prophecy of emotional indebtedness drives a downward spiral: Perception is reality; so, let’s change our perception. ### Description To Whom You May Concern: I have a few things to address. First: I know you started today hoping for a better tomorrow. Second: You’re not broken. Last: You have plenty of time, but you won’t need it. Oh, and you have nothing to hide and you won’t be “found out.” Let’s chat. Your’s truly. * Self ### Notes What started as a blog post, became a one-person monologue; a reenactment of an open-letter written to my “critical self” from logical self. This talk is a live performance; not a lecture. Think: a dog’s inner monologue if a dog was an average Joe/Jane. The presentation is broken into: * State of mind and the “internal editor” * Your perception is your reality * I’m a Fraud: My Story of “Imposter Syndrome” * Life isn’t Binary: Living in the grey * You don’t owe anyone, anything. But, you can give anything to anyone * Joy: The Unrestricted Privilege * Life choices aren’t a tattoo on the future Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, binary thinking and the self-fulfilling prophecy of emotional indebtedness drives a downward spiral: Perception is reality; so, let’s change our perception. **My background:** I’m a semi-professional actor, turned software engineer and consultancy owner. I’ve taught Shakespeare studies, acting technique, and team dynamics for organizations around the world. I’m not the best engineer, but I don’t care to be. My life’s objective is to bring light, joy and self-inspired passion to the people I work with. I want to be part of your life’s experience.
